For the past 16 years, Richardson owned his own manufacturers’ representative firm, Specialized Sales (originally known as Mr. Reman), based in southern California. Richardson began his aftermarket career working in an auto parts store as a counterman and store manager. He later worked for Motors Inc./Cardis, a warehouse distribution company that specialized in remanufactured parts. He served in a variety of capacities with the company including product manager and sales manager.
