Fruition Announces New Album Ft. Members Of Greensky, Stringdusters & More

first_imgToday, Fruition announced the upcoming release of their new album, Labor of Love. The album, due out April 22nd on Randm Records, sees the Portland, OR based quintet embark on a sonic exploration, diverging from their rootsy, string-centric sound. While recording the album over the last year, the group decided to plug in, take some chances, and come out a “full-fledged rock band with an easy but powerful grasp of soul, blues and British Invasion era pop….Influenced by everything from Phil Spector-esque pop to dreamy psychedelia to Motown inspired soul”.Labor of Love also features guest appearances from various friends, including Anders Beck of Greensky Bluegrass, Jeremy Garrett of The Infamous Stringdusters, and Steve Swatkins of Allen Stone. While the striking three-part vocal harmonies are still there, the album contains a force that hasn’t been witnessed in previous works from the band.Fruition is ready to hit the road in support of Labor of Love, and will make a stop in Colorado this weekend before embarking on a full-fledged 41-city Spring Tour that begins in Tampa, FL at the Gasparilla Music Festival the weekend of March 12th and sees the band make stops at Red Rocks and Northwest String Summit.  For a full list of tour dates, click HERE.Labor of Love Tracklisting:1.     Labor of Love2.     Santa Fe3.     The Meaning4.     Falling On My Face5.     Above The Line6.     The Way That I Do7.     Beside You8.     Early Morning Wake Up9.     Death Comes Knockin’10.   I Don’t Mindlast_img
